Experimental Marlin Water Cooled Rifle With Takedown Action

Description:
This rifle has a full length Mannlicher style Iron forend that doubles as a water cooled jacket. Apparently the rifle was designed to maintain a level of accuracy with multiple continuous firings via the water cooled barrel feature.
Included with the gun is a 1898 dated letter explaining the rifles history.
The bore measures .45 but we are not sure what cartridge it is chambered for.
