HIGH CONDITION MARLIN 1881
Description:
Oct bbl chambered in 40-60 Marlin. As stated this is a high condition gun with nearly all blue remaining on the bbl. Some aging and light wear, especially to the sharp edges of the octagon. Orig long Marlin sight with correct sight elevator. Rocky Mtn blade front sight. Nice bbl markings. Full length mag tube with nearly all finish. A few light scratches and some aging. Something you rarely see on these Marlins is a forearm cap with any case colors. This one does. Forearm has a couple of scratches and slightly shy at the cap. Very seldom do you see a 1881 with this much brilliant blue remaining as this frame has. Hammer and lever still have visible case colors. Buttstock is very nice fitting to tangs and frame. Slight shrinkage at the nipple top metal buttplate. Top it off with a VG bore and solid action. 1881 Marlin's either have eye appeal or they don't. This one definitely does!
