Description:
MARLIN 1893 .38-55 OCTAGON RIFLE, #212XXX, MADE 1900. Very thin barrel blue that is now mostly gray with excellent markings including SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL, original buckhorn rear sight with Rocky Mountain blade front sight. Standard 26" barrel, mag tube mostly gray. Good blue on the loading gate with the receiver gray. The stock and forearm show only the lightest of handling with good wood to metal fit. Tight action with strong safety half-cock and excellent sharp bore. These early 1889, 1893, 1894, and 1895 Marlins are getting hard to find.
