Marlin Model 1892 .32 Centerfire (.32 Colt Short or Long)

This Collector’s Listing is a Used Marlin Model 1892 in .32 Colt Short and/or Long Caliber. We have fired it with .32 Colt Long centerfire cartridges, and have found proper rimfire firing pins available from Jack First. Serial Number 2794xx suggests early 1900s manufacture date – within the limits of Marlin S.N. Mysteries. The Barrel is 24 Inches and the bore is in decent condition for age with minor pitting that still leaves entirely shootable rifling - although difficult to photograph. Barrel, Bolt and Receiver Markings are Sharp and Legible. The Side Plate comes off and goes back on easily for cleaning or firing pin exchange. The Tube Magazine is Complete and Operational – as is the rest of the gun, making this a fun shooter with (we presume) .32 Colt or formed cases. Photos show some dings and scratches on the stock, which still retains most of its finish. The finish is best appreciated in the photos – that in our non-expert/non-dealer estimate are approximately/greater than 60 Percent Original with smooth patina where bluing is gone Please ask any questions or request additional information before purchase as this item will be costly to return owing to CA re-registration and other regulations.
