NEW PRICE! Early Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action Rifle – in rare .25-36 caliber – 25 1/2" Octagon Barrel - SN 131232 manufactured in 1898 = ANTIQUE. Great bore and action. Metal is very good overall with sharp lettering and markings - barrel retains 90% + blue - magazine tube has 90% + blue with slight thinning. Receiver and hammer retain 90% bright case color – butt plate has drifted to about 85%. Left side of receiver has lightly etched social security# that can be removed professionally - the 4th picture of the left side of reciever only shows the lightly etched ss#. Wood is very good and showing only a few dings and light surface marks from normal handling, with the exception of a thin sliver of wood missing between rear sling mount and shoulder butt plate, and retains 80% of its' original finish. A very sharp and well maintained 116 year old Marlin 1893 is all original (except added sling) and in very good condition in a great caliber. An outstanding shooter, collectible, and investment!
