Marlin 336 RC 35 Rem with Weaver K2.5 60B scope
Description:
Marlin 336 RC chambered in 35 rem, JM marked barrel and made in 1963. Comes with a restored Weaver K2.5 60B scope - post and crosshair reticle - with factory box and paperwork, Weaver pivot mount base 163A and Weaver 1" pivot mount rings - both include factory boxes. Also includes a set of vintage Weaver lens caps with box. When I purchased this rifle it was in excellent condition - excellent bore - not fired much. I completely disassemble the rifle and finished the metal parts to a finer 400 grit finish (all carefully done by hand). The parts were hot chemical blued. The stock and forearm were carefully sanded to 320 grit finish. The cheap plastic white line spacers between the pistol grip cap and butt plate were replaced with real Maple hardwood spacers. Wood was then finished with a durable polyurethane finish. A beautiful restoration that is a better finish quality than what the factory typically provided. All the Weaver components were purchased from a reputable company that specializes in selling vintage scopes (they are located in Stevensville, MT). The rifle was sighted in using Hornady LEVERevolution 35 Rem 200 gr FTX ammo. A target is include that has the best 5 shot group obtained from a bench rest - 1 1/4". Typical groups were in the 1 3/4" range. If you're looking for a vintage 1960's lever action rifle / scope combination that looks and shoots great this might be right for you.
