First gen Marlin 444's...distinquished by the Monte Carlo Comb, Straight American Walnut Stock with Monte Carlo Comb with original factory Marlin pad, 24" barrel and half mag have continued to grow in value and collector interest more than any other that comes to mind at this time... We expect these will sooo fetch over 2k and more soon as they become increasingly scarce. This one made in 1966 (AB Prefix) was the 2d yr of prodiction (1965 to 1972 approx) is one of the necest of the many we've had. Metal appros as new with a few modest hunting or handling marks on the stock. No non facotry holes and even the Marlin Bullsey is still intact..
Comes with the Swift Scope as showin...While these scopes are not expensive most will not know that the company has been making quality glass since the 1920 and is an American Co....The glass is still made here though now assembled in Korea. They enyoy an excellent reputation for both quality and customer service. It is a 1.5 x 4.5 half tube (no front bell) with a bold duplex excellent for the woods.
Collector or to hunt with dont miss this one if you've been holding out for a really nice one. Still has front site hood !!!!!
