Marlin 444 lst gen
1966 2d yr production not far from new ...still has front site hood...bargain price. JM WE HAVE 2
Description: SALE PENDING RAY C. OK 5/1/26 Most desirable lst gen 444: at the time of its introduction it was the most powerful lever in production with balistics similar to 45-70. Unique at the time characteriized by straight texan style stock with Mote Carlo Comb, 24" barrel with 1/2 mag. resulting in a handsome substantial lever gun capable of handling any game on the planet. Now sought after by hunters and collectors. This is an exceptional example in a good bit over 90% cond with only minor imperfections in the beautifully finishe blue on the receiver. Straight grained American Walnut Stocks are almost completely free of handling marks. The Marlin signature bullsey is missing; a common occurrence as the wood dries and shrinks modesly with age (this fine example is 60 yrs old)..the plastic sometimes falls out. This are avail and eaisly replaced. These lst gen 444's were lst made in 1965 and production ran until 1972, this one made in 1966 was probalby the first full year of production. We have a second one nearly as nice made in 1970...buy both for a nice pair (see sellers other listings) Still has front site hood and does not appear that a scope was ever mounted in this lightly used example. Shipping $ 75.00 IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BUY THIS OR ANY OF OUR GUNS WE SUGGEST YOU PHONE US AND THEN ALSO FOLLOW UP WITH A TEXT OR EMAIL.
