Lever action repeating rifle fitted with a "JM" marked 24 Inch blued round steel barrel that is chambered for the .35 Remington cartridge. Barrel is built with an adjustable buckhorn rear sight and a ramped brass beaded blade front sight. Left side of the barrel is roll marked "The Marlin Firearms Co. - EST 1870 // NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. - MODEL 336A. - CAL .35 REM.". Right side barrel is marked with "JM" inside an Oval near the receiver. The polished blued steel receiver with "waffle top" features side ejection, is fit with a half-cock hammer safety, two-thirds length tubular magazine with a 6+1 shot capacity that has a half-banded stud for sling swivel attached and the bottom tang is marked with the rifle's serial number. The stock is a two-piece walnut with a smooth straight hand grip, straight comb, stud for sling swivel on bottom and matching smooth "perch-belly" forearm with tip. 13-3/8" length of pull to a Marlin checkered black buttplate. 7 Lbs. - 4 Oz.
