Mag. were only made from 1963-1969 in caliber .256 and .30 Carbine with only 5960 made in .256 and 7996 made in .30 Carbine. This one is in near new condition retaining about all the blue on the receiver and barrel. Exc. wood, original sights and no extra holes or alterations. This is considered a second model made with sling swivels/sling. Tight action, surprisingly crisp trigger, bright bore. Still even has the hood on the front sight. Original Marlin embossed butt plate butt plate. About as nice as one could hope to find these days. Values on these unusual lever Marlins are rising rapidly.
