EXTREMELY RARE ANTIQUE MARLIN 1891 1ST MODEL RIFLE

Description:
This is a 1st year production 1st model in exceptional condition! The Model 1891 was Marlin’s first lever action offering of a 22 caliber rifle. This is a 1st model which has the loading gate on the side. You don’t see a lot of Model 1891’s of any kind but a 1st Model is a rare find. Especially one in this condition. Barrel blue is at 95-98% with just a couple light scratches. The receiver is also at 90-95% original bright shiny blue. About the only blemish is on the left side where there is a slight bit of flaking. The forearm cap still retains nearly all the blue. Nice strong case colors on hammer, lever and buttplate. A near excellent bore. Smooth action. The wood is exceptional. This truly is an investment grade Marlin! Comes with Factory Letter.
