Marlin Model 39-A Take-down Lever action rifle chambered in .22 S, L, LR. It features a 24" round barrel, pistol grip stock, and a steel tubular magazine under the barrel with a brass inner tube. Two-Line address on top of barrel. Blade front sight and rear adjustable notch sight. Hard rubber butt plate. This is a takedown version and has a large takedown screw on the receiver's right side. This screw had an oversize flat-head slot you could twist with coins. Based on the serial number, this rifle was made in 1952. No box. .22 Long Rifle
