Marlin 39A Rare "Peanut" Excellent Condition
Description: I have for sale a very nice and all original Marlin 39A "Peanut" in 22 caliber which was built in 1951. This gun is rather rare because of the brass plaque inset in the stock. These guns are known as the "Peanut" because of this plaque and they were only built in the first half of 1951 only. Their production was stopped because the brass required to make these was diverted to the Korean war effort. You will look far and wide to find one of these rifles in this condition. These iconic rifles are built the way all rifles should be built and it shows in their accuracy. These rifles are tubular fed and will easily handle short, long, or long rifle ammunition. The tube will hold 19 long rifle and 22 shorts, so load it once and shoot away. The 24 inch barrel with a 1:16 twist is extremely accurate and the 7 pound weight helps steady the gun. Condition of this gun is excellent and very clean inside and out and all original finishes to bluing and wood. Bore is bright and shiny with clean crisp rifling. Price of this great little rifle is $1000 plus $35 shipping to your FFL. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with the buyer paying shipping charges if returned. SOLD Manufacturer: Marlin Model: 39A Caliber Info: 22 S, L, LR Bore: Excellent Metal Condition: Nice Original Wood Condition: Nice Original Weight: 7 pounds exactly Manufacture Date: 1951 |
