Description: ######## SALE PENDING JOHN U. ######## ******* LABOR DAY SPECIAL - FREE SHIPPING ******* Marlin Model 39A Mountie, 20" round barrel, full tubular magazine, plain trigger, plain walnut stocks, open sights, blued finish, correct Marlin logo butt plate with white line spacer, serial # P11577, made 1957. Handles 22 short, long and long rifle cartridges. This is a Pre Golden model having a correct blued trigger and no "Golden 39A" marking on the barrel. Front sight hood missing. Barrel retains 65% original spotty blue with most of the loss on the front ride side and at muzzle. Receiver and fore end cap retain 98% bright original blue. Action works smoothly and functions correctly, including the half cock safety. Bore is shiny and bright, a 9.5 of 10. Original sights include ramped god bead front and semi-buckhorn rear with correct elevator. Stocks still tight and proud with only a couple of typical use marks, Marlin "Bullseye" still intact in the butt stock toe line. Excellent example that will make a good shooter and collector. No international sales. Must ship to FFL or C&R license (recent changes in NY State law requires shipment to an FFL only if going to a NY State buyer).
