Marlin 57 22 Lever Matic Nice Original Condition 22

Description:
These very unique and innovative Model 57's were made from approximately 1959 to 1965.. Made in 22 LR (this one) , 22 mag, 30 cal carbine and 256 Win.
Distinquished by a very short throw lever and a cam roller type action. The kind of gun a kid in the 50's and 60's might have dreamt about with his paper routte mony as with lots of fire power (it holds at least 17 22 shorts...he would have been ready for any type of (kid) adventure....Addtionally it is able to handle 22 shorts. longs an long rifle ammon interchangably. 
This one is completely original with no non factory holes or other. The wood is almost unmarked with no flaws, scratches or bumps of consequence. The finish on the barrel has some evidence of frosting from imperfect storage but NOT PITTED and still retains 90% blue.
Bonuse...it comes with the original Marlin 22 scope (1/2" scopes of that era were not great and neither is this one but it is usable and belongs with this kool gun.
