SALE PENDING JOHN C NEW HAMPSHIRE 1216/24WE HAVE 3 OTHER MOUNTIES....INQUIRE To us the Mountie (Strait stock carbine version) are the most beautiful of all the 39 variations) This one was made in 1955 and marketed by Sears. It does not say Sears but it is known that Sears special ordered these from Marlin so that they could accomodate a scope while the guns offered by Marlin at the time could not. The Weaver mount was designed to go on the side of the barrel. While we do not have the mount i am confident one could be found on ebay or other sources. These delightlful little carbines (Mounties are 20" barrels while std issue 39's are 24) have a single taked down screw for claeaning or back packing or camping. Missing the Marlin bullseye on the butt stock; these were avail from Numrich, i don't know if they still are and require a little hand fitting.
This one has been well used but also well cared for and is priced well under what they are normally found offered for. (we have 3 or so others ..also listed here on Gunsinternational)
