Marlin Model 39A 22 Cal Rimfire Rifle Made 1947 C&R Eligible
Description: *** UPDATED 5/26/2022 *** CONSIGNOR REDUCED PRICE!! Classic, very good condition Marlin 39A 22 caliber rimfire rifle, handling 22 short, long and long rifle rounds, 24" round barrel, blued finish, pre-golden rifle so it has the correct blued trigger, plain pistol grip without the grip cap or spacers which is correct for this vintage, walnut stocks, tubular magazine, open sights with front sight hood missing, receiver factory drilled and tapped for several scope and peep sight options, take down frame, hard rubber butt plate, legendary "Bullseye" in the toe line of the butt, serial number D18887, made in 1947 and thus qualifying as a curio and relic firearm. CONDITION: All blued surfaces retain 92% original factory blue with a few spots drifting to plum and a couple of small spots of surface rust on the barrel that should clean off. Take down is tight with no wobble and functions properly. Action is butter-smooth and the half cock safety works as designed. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks but top line of butt stock does have a 2" grain check, light wear marks, no extra holes, never sanded or refinished. Hard rubber butt plate has a couple of chips missing. Bore is excellent, a 9 of 10. All parts are original, right down to the sights. Typical of these rifles made just after WWII, the inner loading tube is aluminum, not the standard brass, since brass was scarce. Will make an excellent shooter and investment firearm!
