Marlin Model 81 - Bolt Action - .22 LR Rifle - Smooth one piece walnut pistol grip style stock. Tubular magazine holding 18 LR rounds. 24 in. barrel. Bore is clean and bright. Wgt. 6.25 lbs. Butt plate in very good condition. Open rear adjustabel sight and blade front sight. Includes a Weaver G6 Scope w/side mount receiver bracket ( period correct ). Lenses are clear. Stock has a few minor handling marks. Barrel and receiver are retaining approx 90% bluing. Bolt action is tight and smooth. Rifle appears to have seen little use considering it's age. Overall condition is excellent . The Marlin model 81 was the beginning of that series manufactured from 1937 to 1940. Additional variations came latter. Nice addition for our Marlin collectors.
