1893 Marlin Rifle 32-40 Indian Owned Rifle Special Ordered Features

1893 Marlin Indian Owned rifle in the ever popular 32-40 caliber, has a special ordered Hepburn receiver sight and hard rubber shotgun buttplate. My friend purchased this rifle from a gentleman that lived on the St Regis Indian Reservation 30 years ago and was told the gun was on the reservation from its very beginning. Manufactured right around the turn of the century. 26" round barrel and full magazine tube. The bore is about a 5 maybe a 6 on a scale from 1 to 10. Barrel and tube retain maybe 20% of it's original blue in protected areas and the remainder is a nice brown / gray patina. There is a ding near the muzzle on right hade side (see pic). Correct sights and has the special order Marlin Hepburn receiver sight ($450 value by itself). Receiver is a nice brown / gray patina with traces of finish in protected areas. Action functions nicely. Good markings. Both forend and buttstock are in fair condition, showing numerous handling marks, scrapes, and usage that you would expect from a gun with this kind of pedigree. Buttplate has a tiny piece missing and shows tiny crack in same area (see pic). Just a cool used but not abused special ordered Marlin with some nice history. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. This firearm as with any other should be checked first by a gunsmith before any attempt is made to fire / operate it. Please feel free to ask questions.
