c1900 mfr MARLIN Model 1893 Lever Action .30-30 WCF SADDLE RING CARBINE C&R Marlin’s First Smokeless Powder Rifle
Description: c1900 mfr MARLIN Model 1893 Lever Action .30-30 WCF SADDLE RING CARBINE C&R Marlin’s First Smokeless Powder Rifle Here we present a C&R J.M. Marlin Model 1893 Saddle Ring Carbine in .30-30 Winchester, manufactured circa 1900 in New Haven, Connecticut. Marlin Firearms was founded in the 1870s by John Marlin and was one of Winchester’s biggest competitors for the lever action market in the late-19th and into the 20th Century. Marlin produced a large assortment of firearms such as lever-action rifles, pump-action shotguns and single shot rifles. The Model 1893 represents Marlin’s first smokeless powder lever action rifle. It features a solid top frame with side ejection and a smooth action. The overall condition is good. Dark, weathered patina throughout. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The stock likewise shows wear and weathering. This saddle ring carbine is unusual in that it has a crescent butt plate that looks like it has been on it for the vast majority of the carbine’s life. The stock is solid though worn and weathered like the rest of the gun. There are some minor splits in the very front of the fore stock, just ahead of the barrel band. The rear sight has been replaced with a flip-up, adjustable piece. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 20 inches. Caliber: .30-30 Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1600 #226381 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
