Description: c1941 mfr. MARLIN Model 1936 Deluxe Lever Action .32 SPECIAL Cal. Rifle C&R With Factory Checkering & Winchester Sling Bases Here we present a C&R J.M. Marlin Model 1936 Rifle in .32 Special, made in 1941 in New Haven, Connecticut. The Model 1936 had a production run between 1936 and 1948. Marlin was one of Winchester’s biggest competitors for the lever action market in the late-19th and into the 20th Century. This fantastic lever-action rifle is a direct descendant of the Model 1893. It was chambered in either .30-30 or.32 Special cartridge. This rifle features a 24-inch barrel in .32 Winchester Special, Winchester sling swivel bases that are not inletted into the stock, checkering on the pistol grip and forearm, “B” prefix to the serial number, and a grip cap. It also falls into the same serial number range as others we have observed. The receiver, lever, and hammer are case colored while the barrel and magazine tube are blued. “JM” is stamped within the oval on the breech end of the barrel. The overall condition is fine. Original blue finish and case colors. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The stock is nicely factory checkered and solid. A great Marlin rifle!
