Beautiful Marlin 1895 lever action rifle cal .38-56 with color case hardened frame and 26? full octagonal barrel/tube having German-silver blade front sight and elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The top barrel flat is stamped with the two-line address/patent dates. “38-56” stamped at the breech. “MARLIN SAFETY” on top of receiver; full SN "135911" on lower receiver; "MODEL 1895" on upper tang. Smooth walnut forearm and buttstock with varnish finish. Metal crescent buttplate.

Condition:

Bright 95% original condition with barrel having a few very tiny spots of cleaned oxidation, the forward portion of magazine tube beginning to tone. Early fading of receiver case colors with few oxidative spots on left side, thinning with grey toning of lower/inner surface of lever. Forearm and buttstock retaining nearly all original varnish under scattering of light handling marks. Buttplate with greyish toning and a few stains. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. An exceptional, large frame Marlin 1895 lever action rifle with bright, color case hardened receiver, chambered for the impressive impressive .38-56!
