Marlin ~ Model 1894CBC 1894 Cowboy Competition ~ .38 Special
Description: Marlin 1894 Cowboy Competition. For serious Cowboy Action shooting competitors or anyone who wants a lightening-fast carbine, the 1894 Cowboy Competition is the perfect choice. The receiver, bolt, trigger guard plate and lever are color case-hardened for an authentic 19th Century look. The right side of the barrel is marked with Marlin's two-line warning. The left side of the barrel is marked "1894 COWBOY COMPETITION" followed by "THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / ***MODEL 1894CBC – 38 SPECIAL***" and is also marked with the "JM" proof. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The top of the receiver is marked "MARLIN SAFETY". The front sight is a serrated blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a "U" notched semi-buckhorn elevator sight dovetailed into the barrel. The notch can be reversed to present a "V" notch and has a white diamond aiming reference. The stocks are two-piece smooth American walnut with a straight grip, straight comb, checkered black hard rubber Marlin buttplate, and Marlin "bullseye" in the belly. This example is still in great condition and shows little use. .38 Special SOLD Metal Condition: very good Wood Condition: very good Bore Condition: bright Barrels: 20" octagon barrel Stock Dimensions: 13.5 Fore End: smooth wood Butt Pad: Marlin plastic Weight: 6 lb - 8 oz.
