Marlin 1893 SRC Carbine 38-55 NRA Very Fine Original Condition *FREE LAYAWAY*
Description: This is a Marlin Model 1893 Saddle Ring Carbine in caliber 38-55. The overall condition is extremely collectible, NRA Antique Very Fine condition. The mechanical condition is excellent, functioning is complete and correct in all regards. The barrel and magazine finish is 95%+ excellent with only very minor spots of wear, with blue starting to darken. The carbine has a very good, shootable bore with strong rifling throughout, remains shiny, and shows scattered normal, shallow frosting. Overall VG condition. The receiver, hammer and lever have much of the case colors still visible, mostly darkening and fading, but very smooth, and good looking patina overall. No rust is present. The stocks have not been sanded, the fit is full at the tang, receiver and buttplate, and the surfaces show only modest signs of handling or use. There are no splits or cracks and the stocks fit tight and are 100% solid. Stocks rate excellent overall. This carbine has a serial number in the 443xxx range. All stampings are correct, crisp and deep. Barrel is marked Marlin Firearms Co., tang is marked Model 1893. The Hepburn sight taps are present, and the carbine sights are factory correct and original. Overall a splendid example of an early 1900s saddle ring carbine, in a condition that far exceeds most you will see these days. This carbine will be a great addition to your collection, and a fine shooter as well. All pictures are of the actual carbine listed, and were taken in bright, natural light. I offer a free 120 day LAYAWAY that provides any buyer the opportunity to purchase this fine firearm with affordable payments of $500 down, and then the remainder in four equal payments at 30 day intervals; or it may be paid off sooner at the discretion of the buyer. I provide a thorough description and a great many pictures to cover all aspects of the item's condition. I also rely on potential buyers to ask any specific questions or ask for particular or more detailed information beyond what I have provided, if there are any remaining concerns about the condition of this item. If the carbine is found to be other than described, it may be returned for refund of the purchase price within 3 days, less all shipping, transfer and incidental costs of the seller. No disassembly or firing is permitted, and it must be returned in the identical condition as shipped. No refund of shipping or transfer fees of either buyer or seller. Returns not compliant with this policy, and non-completed layaways are subject to other conditions. Payment is requested by US Postal Money Order. Shipping cost is $65 by priority mail, fully insured service to any valid FFL holder or C&R licensee in the lower 48. California sales incur $60 surcharge. Once again, this item requires a valid FFL or C&R for transfer, no exceptions. Thanks for looking. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
