Description:
The Marlin 444 was designed as the "thumper" to take down large game animals quickly. It is chambered for the .444 Marlin which fires 240 grain bullets at 2350 fps and 3000 ft-lb of energy. The rifle is in good shape, and, while it does have some defects, it is sound in wood and metal. The date of manufacture of this rifle is estimated at 100-23 (first two digits of S/N) = 1977. There is a lot of shooting left in this "JM" Marlin. .44 Marlin
