Selling my Marlin 455 chambered in 30-06. The gun includes all the original items which are sometimes missing on these, including the front sight hood, rear barrel sight, factory provided Lyman 48 receiver sight, and the original deluxe sling studs (which require Winchester Super Grade type swivels). The wood and metal finish are all original. Only about 1,138 Marlin Model 455 rifles were made between roughly 1955-1959, making them quite scarce; of these, 1,079 were chambered in .30-06 and a very rare 59 in .308. The 455 features a FN Mauser action, Sako trigger, Bishop stock, the factory provided Lyman 48 sight, and Marlin's Micro-Groove barrel. I had this rifle scoped and shot it...it is very accurate. The metal finish is deep blue. There are a few small spots of staining on top of the receiver...not sure what it is, but you can't feel them (see pics). The wood is beautiful with exceptional figure, has a few handling marks but is in very nice condition.
I will only ship within the continental US. The gun will ship via USPS priority mail, insured. I need a copy of your local dealers FFL, or a copy of your C&R. I accept personal checks, cashiers checks, or money orders (all held until cleared).
I take great care in packaging and the rifle will be shipped in a custom made box with a rigid styrofoam insert cut specifically for this rifle.
