Marlin Model 1893 Takedown Rifle Cal. 38-55 Made 1905
Description: *** SALE PENDING MICHAEL IN OK *** Offered in this listing is a Marlin Model 1893 rifle in caliber 38-55 with takedown frame, plain walnut stocks, crescent butt with steel rifle butt plate, 26" octagon barrel marked "Special Smokeless Steel" to handle the hotter loads, full magazine, correct open sights, upper tang and top of receiver both factory drilled & tapped for tang peep and Hepburn receiver peep, frame was case hardened. Serial number 292635 was made in 1905. CONDITION: Barrel and mag tube retain 50% fine aged blue. Bore is excellent. Action is smooth with a properly working half cock safety. Takedown feature is tight with no wobble and functions as designed. Butt plate and receiver have silvered out with no traces of case color remaining. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks, no extra holes, typical age marks, lightly cleaned at some point in the past. Desirable configuration and caliber that will make a fine collector and shooter. TERMS: Shipping to the Continental US States will be a flat $50 with insurance included.
