Marlin Model 1894 Special Order Rifle Made 1902
Description: ****** SALE PENDING NICK M. IN NH ****** Marlin Model 1894 rifle, special order 28" full octagon barrel 4" longer than standard, all other features typical: full magazine, crescent butt with rifle butt plate, open sights, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, straight grip. Rifle started life as a 25-20, shipped on August 15, 1902 per the records stored at the Cody Firearms Museum. At some point long ago, the rifle was bored to 32-20 and the caliber remarked, no other markings changed. As such, the bore is an 8.5 of 10. Rifle was also restored at that time, now having a plummy blue with 80% coverage on all the metal surfaces. Stocks were not touched, left dark and uncleaned, showing expected usage marks but no extra holes and no splits or cracks. Action is smooth and has a properly-working half cock safety. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Original rear sight and elevator intact. Original Rocky Mountain front sight intact but installed reversed after the reblue and I left it that way, didn't want to risk damaging the sight or barrel. Not a bad looking old rifle that should make a fun shooter. TERMS: FREE SHIPPING! No international sales and no sales to Alaska or Hawaii. Must ship to FFL or C&R license holder (sales to New York State must ship to an FFL only, no exceptions, and New York State residents must pay 8% sales tax). Price listed is discounted for payment by check or money order. All major credit cards also accepted with 4% added to final price. 3 day non firing inspection. Buyer pays return shipping. Packed with care and sent by UPS Ground. Offers welcomed so please text or call if interested, but please keep in mind I work a 12 hour day Monday through Friday and may not be able to immediately respond.
