(SOLD 1-31-23) (It is priced at $1100 or BEST OFFER).The production of the model 336A was 1948 – 1962. This is an early production 336A, it has a G serial number prefix, which is a 1950 production date, and of course a JM stamped barrel.
This rifle is like it came off the assembly line in 1950 and they put it in a vault. It is a pristine rifle in every respect, it has no blemishes and no changes to its original manufacturing. It has some bluing wear at the base of the receiver where it has been handled, and one little indent on the forend that is very small. In all other respects the bluing is perfect and the wood is perfect. It has the “waffle top” on the receiver to reduce glare, the original open sights, and the two screw holes on the left side where is was drilled and tapped in the factory for a receiver sight – the factory installed blank screw fillers to cover these holes. The barrel is 24” and the bore is mirror bright and excellent. I have taken photos to show it fully, but if you have questions or desire photos of anything specific send me an email or give me a call.
