Marlin Model 336SC Sporting Carbine Cal. 30-30 Winchester Made 1955
Description: Very nice Marlin Model 336SC Sporting Carbine made in 1955, caliber 30-30 Winchester, blued and walnut finish, pre-gold trigger era so trigger is blued as well, Marlin logo plastic butt plate with white line spacer, 2/3 mag tube, 20" barrel, factory sling swivel studs in butt stock and fore end cap, Marlin Bullseye intact. Very nice collector Marlin as well as freezer-filler if you want to get some venison with a classic model and caliber. Stocks show scratches and marks from prior use but remain excellent. Bluing for the most part is excellent except for a scratch on the left side of the receiver. Bore is mint and action is smooth/strong with a properly working half cock safety. "JM" marked barrel. Receiver factory drilled and tapped for both a side peep and a top-mounted scope. Original front and rear open sights are intact but front sight hood is missing. Barrel is not marked "Micro-Groove" so this one has the cut Ballard-type rifling. Please have a gunsmith check it over before firing.
