MARLIN MODEL 94 SPECIAL ORDER RIFLE CAL. 25-20
Description: ******** FALL SPECIAL - FREE SHIPPING ******** Marlin Model 94 rifle with special order 28" full round barrel, 4" longer than standard. All other features are typical - full magazine, blued and case hardened finish, open sights, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger. Serial number 403416 was made approximately 1910. CONDITION: Barrel and mag tube 65% original fine aged blue turning plum. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Bore is very good, plenty of consistent rifling with no pitting, just a little frosty and dark in the grooves, I'd call it a 7 of 10 and may clean better. Action is smooth with a properly working half cock safety. Receiver case hardening has mottled out with traces still showing in the protected areas. Stocks are still tight and proud with no splits or cracks but have been cleaned and a extra coating of finish added, but not sanded as far as I can tell. Upper tang is marked Marlin Model 94 on two lines and is correctly tapped/plugged for a tang sight. Top of receiver is also correctly tapped/plugged for the Hepburn style receiver sight. Butt plate has been reblued. Later non-factory sling swivels have been installed on the mag tube and butt stock. Front sight is the correct Rocky Mountain style and the rear sight is the correct Marlin semi-buckhorn with fish-hook elevator. Breech is marked 25-20 M for the 25-20 Marlin cartridge, same as the 25-20 WCF Winchester round for the Models 1892, 53 and 65. Although not in perfect collector condition, it's still a nice looking special order Marlin rifle that will be a fun shooter and look good on the wall. TERMS: No international sales.
