You are looking at a Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenfabriken (BLM) mauser made in Lübeck, Germany in 1938. This rifle comes with an original and marked “winter trigger" installed as well as the muzzle cap. Both of these items are rare to find installed on the rifle. From what i can tell all numbers match except for the barrel band and buttplate. This rifle has a “X" stamped on the reciever indicating that it was a Russian capture. This theory is supported by the pencil engraved force match bolt assembly and floorplate/trigger guard. The buttplate is not serialized but is stamped BRG 41 which indicates that it is not original to the gun. The barrel is import marked. Overall, this rifle is in excellent condition and would make a great example for anyone looking to add a great piece of history to their collection.
