PRISTINE CONDITION AND RARITY. 10,000 OF FINISHED NAZI MARKED K-98'S WERE DIVERTED TO FULFILL A CONTRACT TO THE PORTUGUESE MILITARY. BECAUSE OF THE RUSSIAN INVASION LESS THAN HALF OF THEM WERE EVER DELIVERED. JUDGING FROM THE AWESOME CONDITION OF THIS ONE, I WOULD GUESS IT NEVER WENT RUSSIA. IT HAS RETAINED ABOUT 98+%OF THE ORIGINAL MAUSER BLUE FINISH. THE LITTLE LOSS THERE IS, IS FROM SOME SLIGHT SHARP EDGE SILVERING. THERE ARE NO RUST SPOTS, RUB MARKS OR SCRATCHES. ALL NUMBERS MATCH AND THE GUN HAS ALL THE ORIGINAL WAFFENAMTS AND ALL THE THE CORRECT PORTUGUESE CRESTS. THE STOCK DOES SHOW ONLY A FEW SLIGHT DINGS AND SURFACE SCRATCHES. IT HAS RETAINED ABOUT 98% OF THE ORIGINAL LACQUER. THE SLIDE RAILS, BOLT FACE MAGAZINE FOLOWER AND FEED RAMP SHOW NO REAL USE. THE BORE IS MIRROR BRIGHT WITH SHARP CRISP RIFLING. THIS GUN IS GUARANTEED TO BE VERY RARE AND ALL ORIGINAL. IT WOULD SATISFY THE MOST CRITICAL COLLECTOR AND CERTAINLY RATES A CENTERPIECE LOCATION.
