Mauser Custom 404 Jeffery


Description:
This is a beautiful custom Mauser African rifle.  This rifle has a 26 inch barrel equipped with one fixed standing sight and two leaf folding rear sight with a twilight front sight.  The action is a Mauser Berlin Argentino 1909 with a 3 way safety and a nicely knurled bolt handle.  The action cycles and feeds ammo flawlessly.   The stock is beautifully figured walnut with a ebony forend cap and has a right handed cast making it a natural pointer for a right handed shooter, the LOP is 14 inches.  The optic is a Schmidt and Bender Zenith 1.5-6 x42 (30 mm) with a duplex reticle and has EAW pivot quick disconnect rings.  The fixed rear sight is regulated for 50 yards and the optic is zeroed for 100 yards with Barnes 400 grain TSX bullets.   I purchased this rifle used from JJ Perodeau 2 years ago prior to taking it to Africa for a Cape Buffalo hunt.  The 404 Jeffery is classic cartridge and proved to be good medicine for Cape Buffalo.  The accuracy of this rifle is amazing but I am regrettfully selling this Africa ready rilfe.   Please note that there is no makers name on this rifle.
