The 7.65X53mm Argentine caliber Model 1891 rifle was used from 1891 to 1909. The 29.1"" barrel has a dark bore with strong rifling which may clean better. The gun has approx. 95% blue. As is the case with the majority of these rifles, the Argentine crest over the chamber was removed prior to its sale by the government. The left side of the receiver is marked MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891 over MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN. All the numbers, including the stock, cleaning rod, floorplate, and bolt are matching. The stock is fine with a mar on the left at the receiver and a repair on the left forward of the rear band. It has the oval Argentine inspection stamp on the right butt. The swivels are present. The action functions correctly. This is a nice looking example of the Model 1891 Argentine Mauser rifle. It's ready for your South American military rifle or export Mauser rifle collection.
