Scarce configuration, even rarer caliber, made by Mauser in the 30's, thumbing their nose at the Treaty of Versailles. Very attractive example, but its had some help...Stock has been refinished. Nice job of it, but its been done. Metal finish has been reblued. Some of the markings are thinned-out. There is residual corrosion pitting (receiver, bottom metal) under the stock line, but the stock is very intact, and free of cracks. Note this is a non-finger-groove stock; as we understand, this was for the Carbine version with 20" barrel. This 23-1/2" barrel has excellent finish, superb, almost like-new bore, and is likely a replacement. Topping it off, it has a Timney adjustable trigger! So there you have it. 100% original?...no. Still a Mauser, handsome and very functional? yep. If it were perfect, the asking price would be double. SN# B518xx Cal 7.65 Argentine. C&R OK, CA sales OK. Call or email to discuss tt further.
