A Mauser manufactured model 1891 Argentine Mauser in good condition overall. The finish is in good overall shape, with some wear on the operating surfaces, some light surface rust and a square of worn finish on top of the receiver, where the Argentinian crest was removed when the rifle was sporterized by Montgomery Ward in the 50s. The wood stock is in good overall condition, with its fair share of light dings and dents. There is a small crack on the wrist of the stock just behind the upper tang. The crack is about a half inch long. The face of the front sight blade and the rear sight notch have had some white paint applied to them at some point, but it seems plenty easy to remove. The bore is in good condition, with strong rifling, a bit dulled from use. All serialized parts of this rifle are matching aside from the bolt assembly. None
