Mauser ~ Model I.G. 71/84 ~ 11x60R

Description:
This Mauser Model I.G. 71/84 1887 was manufactured in Amberg (Bavaria, Germany) and remains in very good overall condition with nice patina. Wood is solid with the many scars that a military gun should have. There is a large unprofessionally repaired crack with glue still visible on the bottom front of right side under magazine tube cap. Blued barrel has only sporadic light oxidation and receiver and bore remain bright, however bore could use a good cleaning. This rifle was known as Germany's first Infantry Repeater most significantly known for it's 8 round tube magazine. Gun has all matching serial numbers except for front barrel band. Nice piece of history! 11x60mm Mauser
