Portuguese Mauser Model 1904/39 8mm

Description:
This 1904/39 Portuguese Mauser is chambered in 8mm (7.92X57mm Mauser). Converted 1904/39 rifles are recognizable by a K98-style rear sight and a crossed-out "6.5" marking on the receiver, which noted the caliber change. The import marks are found on the barrel near the muzzle.

Barrel and bottom metal numbers match. The bolt appears to match itself.

The rifle is in nice condition. The stock has typical handling marks but has no cracks. There is a scratch approximately 1  1/8" long behind the tang. At first glance it looks like a crack when in fact it is a scratch from inserting the bolt into the rifle. This rifle's bore is free from corrosion and pitting and muzzle passes the bullet test as seen in pictures. Cleaning rod is present.

• Purchasers can request any long gun (up to 48 inches in length) purchase to be shipped in a hard case for an additional $30 fee. Buyer will be responsible for any additional charges above the $50 shipping fee that may occur with hard case shipping.
• Additional fees may be added for long guns with exceptional dimensions and/or weight.
