Spanish Model 1943 Short Rifle by La Coruna (Interarms Import with Dec
Description: Serial #D9129, 8mm Mauser, 24" barrel with a very good bore that has some freckling within the grooves. This is a La Coruna-made, 1946-dated rifle with matching numbered bolt. The metal retains 60-70% of the original blue turning to smooth plum-brown, and with silvering along the edges, projection, and bearing surfaces. There is some mild surface freckling along the otherwise arsenal bright bolt as well. The wooden stock and handguard are in very good shape with numerous small handling marks in the old, reapplied oil finish. This is a pre-’68 Interarms import, so does not have any import stamps, but does still have the rarely seen Interarms decal on the underside of the forend. This is a very good-near fine example of a post-war Spanish Mauser, with a rare Interarms sticker.
