Venezuelan Model 24/30 Short Rifle by FN with Target Sight
Description:
Serial #33884, 7mm Mauser, 23 1/4? barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an unusual, little-used, all-matching rifle that has nearly all of the original blue remaining and excellent, original armory bright finish on the receiver and bolt. The bolt latch retains 90-95% of the original bright fire blue finish, and there is no import mark on the rifle. The walnut stock and target rifle handguard have some minor handling marks scattered about the otherwise excellent original finish, heaviest on the forearm around the receiver, and on the left side of the buttstock which has a few deeper impact marks and surface abrasions. Interestingly, the rifle is fitted with the Venezuelan 300m windage adjustable rear sight normally found on the long barreled target variant rifles, and the handguard has the appropriate relief cut at the rear for the enlarged rear leaf. The rifle comes with an original cleaning rod and spring-loaded muzzle cover, and would make a splendid addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
