Yugoslav M.48 Mauser Rifle
Description:
Serial #M81164, 8mm Mauser, 24" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some traces of freckling within the grooves. This is an import marked Kar.98k with Yugoslavian receiver crest and matching bolt that retains 95-97% of an armory re-applied blue finish with silvering at the muzzle as well as on the exposed edges and bearing surfaces. The bolt has an armory bright finish with some mild freckling just starting to appear. The wood stock is numbered to the gun on the left side of the butt, with scattered minor handling marks and minor blemishes in the re-applied varnish finish which carries over onto the handguard as well. The cleaning rod is missing, but the original front sight hood is still present. The rear barrel sight has been removed and an AIM 2-7x 42 long eye relief scope with clear optics and a Mil-Dot reticle fitted on a B-Square mount. An old leather sling, worn but still serviceable, is fitted. This is a neat “Scout" configured Mauser, and rates very good-near fine overall. FFL or C&R
