This Flaigs "Ace" in .244 Remington is a unique piece of firearm history. Flaigs out of Millvale, PA built many sporterized Mausers back in the day. As I understand it, the ACE stamp on the barrel denotes it was a higher quality barrel on the receiver, most of which were Douglas. The bluing on this firearm is deep in most places, but there are scratches present and wear is present on the sharp edges. The wood appears to be good with a few handling marks or safe dings present. The base and rings are period correct quarter turn dove tail Redfield and the scope is a Lyman 3-9. If you want a sporterized piece of American firearm history with a smooth action and some "old school cool" this is a firearm you may want. .244 Remington
