Mauser K 98 sporterized 8x57 which is 8mm Mauser

Description:
Mauser S/42 (mauser factory code during World War II) this K-98 was made in 1938. A Mauser made by Mauser for the German Army. Both of these factory codes are visable under the deep bluing on the receiver. This was a converted veteran bring back in the late 1940's or early 1950's as evidenced by the early Marbles rear site. There are a few German proofs one on the rifle, receiver, part of the bolt, bolt removal lever and the mag floor plate. A few more under the safety. Bore is very nice.
