Mauser Sporter Type-B Post-World War 1 (Pre-WWII) Commercial Mauser Bolt Action Rifle in 8x60 Norma - K98 ACTION - Original Oberndorf - Sporter rifle Type B Pattern 126 - Optics: Hensolt Wezlar (bought by Zeiss) renovated by Zeiss - Description: K98 action, claw mounts, detachable scope, integrated barrel rib, hexagonal barrel chamber tapering to round (one piece of steel) - Rich in History - Double Set Trigger - Developed following World War I when the Versailles Treaty restricted manufacturing of the 7.92x57mm cartridge, the 8x60 was 2 millimeters longer in the body, 1 millimeter longer in the neck and identical in nearly every other sense making conversion of civilian 7.92 rifles a relatively painless procedure. Ramp blade front sight on the textured solid rib, marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A.-G. OBERNDORF AM NECKAR" between the sights and "8x60 NORM" at the breech. The Oberndorf address is repeated on the left receiver wall in one line, with "crown/B" and "crown/U" proofs on the left side of the ring and on the bolt handle, "crown/G" on the ring, a quick release floorplate and adjustable double set triggers. Checkered pistol grip stock with a Schnabel tip forearm, blue steel grip cap, round inscription panel with checkered horn Mauser banner buttplate.
