Norin / Dawson 30-06 Mauser
Description:
Full custom 30-06 Mauser with metal work by ACGG member Dave Norin of Antioch, Illinois and stocked by Bruce Dawson of West Plains, MO. This fine rifle has a 22" barrel with banded ramp front sight, banded sling swivel stud, and quarter rib with one standing and two folding leaves. Quarter rib and front sight stippled to prevent light reflection on the sight plain. DWM Mauser action witha Leanard Brownell bolt handle, Billingsly bolt release, NECG three position safety, Timney adjustable trigger, and Blackburn bottom metal with straddle floorplate and trigger bow release. Topped with custom bases for Alaska Arms lever release rings in the Burgess style holding a new Kahles 3-9x42 scope with duplex. The whole stocked in a very well figured piece of English Walnut with shadowline pancake cheekpiece, 24 LPI point pattern checkering, ebony forend tip, and a skeleton grip cap. 13 3/8" LOP to a checkered butt with steel heel and toe clips. 9lb even as scoped.
This is an extremely nice piece from two very talented craftsmen that remains new from the makers. The rear sight has not been filed in. Test fired only. Priced well below replacement.
