.458 Lott by Butch Searcy of Boron, California built on a South African Vektor true magnum length double square bridge Mauser action. 23 1/2" Krieger barrel with NECG banded ramp front sight with flip up night sight, banded front sling swivel, barrel recoil lug, and NECG island express rear sight with one standing and two folding leaves. Oberndorf style bolt handle. Jeweled bolt and extractor. Two position side swing safety. Drop box bottom metal with straddle floorplate and trigger bow release. Fully adjustable trigger. Stocked in Turkish Walnut in the English style by LeRoy Barry, former head of Cooper Firearms stock shop and now owner of Canyon Creek Custom Gunstocks. Double crossbolts, ebony forend tip, trap steel grip cap, two screw inletted rear sling swivel stud, and shadow line pancake cheekpiece. Checkered in a 24 LPI fleur-de-lis and ribbon pattern. Excellent layout for a big bore with deeply contrasting dark lines. 14 3/4" LOP to a red Decelerator pad. 10lb 8oz This is an excellent piece and remains unfired. It is built the way a functional big bore should be, but also with style, grace and elegance. Ready for Africa. Pretty enough for your gun room.
