Excellent condition early postwar Mauser by Dschulnigg proofed in Ferlach in 1954. Mild action engraving, with nicely engraved bottom metal. Lever release floorplate with double set triggers, which work perfectly, as well as a tang safety in typical Austrian fashion. Light weight 33/40 action built as a Stutzen, paired with a 20" barrel with fixed sights only, no holes punched in this one. The bolt face looks as new, no primer ring on this one. This is probably a rod and gun club carbine ordered by a US servicemen, I have another Dschulnigg marked as such from 1955, both 30-06, but it is NOT a 33/40 unfortunately, but I probably don't need both of them. It is light at 6lb 13oz and has a bright excellent bore. 14" LOP to front trigger, with a high comb, but curiously and luckily never drilled for a scope.
