Mauser - Werke AG 8x60 Magnum Type M Sporting Carbine ca.1935
Based on a standard length, round top action with a lever release floor plate, double trigger, standard flat bolt handle, original "wing" safety, and 1" claw mount with low profile "sighting tunnels".
Original barrel is 19" outside the front ring, w/ a banded island rear sight w/ 1-folding/1-standing/1-folding (200, 100, 300 m) leaves with "half-found" notch sight leaves and a file-cut ramp sight grooved for a sight hood, w/ dovetailed sight blade with a round brass bead.The standard steel muzzle cap and band for stock mounted forward sling swivel. Barrel is marked 8x60 MAGNUM.
Original full stock in the mannlicher style has standard cheekpiece, 14 3/8" LOP over the original smooth steel trap butt plate w/ Mauser banner style logo, steel grip cap, and rear sling swivel along the toe line.
Rifle weighs 7 lbs 5 oz w/ scope rings.
Rifle remians excellent overall with about 97% original metal finish. Barrel's bore is excellent. The original stock finish is consistent ondition consistent with metal finish showing minor handling marks.
