J. P. Sauer & Sohn, Suhl Mauser stalking rifle built on a 1913 Oberndorf Commercial Mauser Action. Matching numbers on all small parts. 23 1/2" Krupp Steel half round/half octagon barrel with integral full length rib and front sight ramp. Barrel tie down through the stock. Excellent bore. Action, barrel, floorplate, steel grip cap, and trigger guard retain 90% Sauer high luster blue. Lever floorplate release and double set triggers. Bolt, bolt shroud, bolt release, and triggers retain 20-30% original color case hardening. Engraved action screws as well as on the grip cap and buttplate. Typical Suhl stock style with pancake cheekpiece, side panels, and trim forend with schnable tip. Stock shows multiple dents and dings from hunting use but retains 80% original varnish finish. Checkering at 85%. 13 7/8" LOP from front trigger to original horn buttplate. 7lb 10oz This is a great all original classic piece, unmolested, and hard to find in this condition.
